Jim Beckett | Author

Jim Beckett is the author of the Buzz Sausage Wolf series for newly independent readers, which was selected for Bookbuzz Primary 2026, and The Caravan at the Edge of Doom, a middle grade adventure fantasy described as ‘hilarious’ by the Irish Times. A former teacher and comedian, Jim’s online events are entertaining, accessible and highly interactive. His talks feature plenty of audience participation, shared creativity and laughter. In his creative writing workshops, Jim’s friendly, inclusive approach encourages all children to celebrate the power of their imaginations. Between his two series of books, Jim works with readers from Reception to Year 6 and he is happy to tailor events to suit a school’s particular needs.
