Nursery: Sharing stories and poems.
Reception: Creating a class story or poem.
Years 1- 6 : Creative writing workshops (story or poetry)in a classroom setting. The aim is to inspire and enthuse the children, and for each child to produce the bones of a story or the first draft of a poem.
And/or
Years 1-6: Kick start creativity in a shorter session with year groups or Key Stage groups. Get them buzzing with ideas.
Y6 upwards: Talk about being a writer/the writing process, plus Q&A
Library sessions up to an hour and a half (to include 15 min break) – levelled to audience (pre-school-4s or 5-8s)
Nursery, Reception, Years 1-6.
If I am booked to work with elementary students at a school which also has older students, I’m happy to give a talk to middle school/ high school students and/or run a workshop with these groups.
I do as many sessions as can be timetabled in a school day, provided that I am scheduled an hour for lunch and a 20 min tea break morning and afternoon.
No more than two sessions back to back, please.

Kick start creativity sessions 45 minutes
Up to an hour signing session at the end of school
