Talks, readings, and creative writing workshops.
In person visits:
Judy Wise delivers high-energy, interactive school visits that inspire a love of reading and creativity across the primary age range. During a full-day event, she leads up to three sessions, which can include assemblies (Key Stage, individual year groups, or whole-school sessions), engaging author talks, readings, or creative writing workshops. Having visited many schools, Judy is highly adept at tailoring her sessions to consolidate classroom learning in a vibrant new way. Her sessions blend lively storytelling, behind-the-scenes insights into the publishing process, and interactive demonstrations that get students actively involved, and, due to the nature of her works, many of the themes explore wildlife and the natural world - a topic guaranteed to get children talking!
As a SEND author, Judy places a particular focus on inclusivity, ensuring every child feels valued and involved.
Online visits:
Judy Wise offers brilliant virtual sessions that bring the excitement of an author visit directly into the classroom via online platforms. Her online sessions are interactive, engaging, and structured to suit a primary school's timetable and curriculum needs. Like her in-person visits, Judy’s virtual sessions blend storytelling, insights into what being an author is really like, and active student participation, with themes of conservation and nature included. As a SEND author, Judy ensures her online delivery is inclusive and accessible to all learning styles. Schools can choose between focused author talks, question-and-answer sessions, or interactive workshops that help students hone core literacy skills like world design and character creation.

"Thank you so much for coming to visit us! We all had such an incredible morning listening to you share your passion for the natural world and introduce your fantastic book.
So many teachers and children have spoken to me since your visit, saying that it's the best author visit we've ever had! The children had a wonderful time, and it's great to hear that the teachers enjoyed the event just as much.
Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with the children while signing their books. They all left with the biggest smiles."

“Thank you SO much for coming in and for coping with the slight chaos of an excitable Reception cohort in assembly! And thank you too for the workshops you did - I saw a couple of teachers afterwards and they said how much the children had enjoyed it - specifically one said, "She's so great with the children" and another said, "They loved it - you could hear a pin drop!" When I popped into the first classroom you visited nearly at break time, the adults were also really keen to show me the work of one of our pupils with a high level of additional needs and how focused he had been and how much work he had produced. That was so great to see.
I hope you enjoyed your visit to us as much as we enjoyed you coming!”
