The Poison Boy
“Martin spoke at our school to discuss his novel, The Poison Boy. He was so engaging and pupils were captivated by his revealing the writing process from first ideas, starting writing, editing and getting a book published.
This really motivated the children for the follow-up writing workshop with great results, along with our books - Poison Boy included - flying off the shelves. Would definitely book again!”
Paul, school librarian, Manchester
“The Poison Boy was shortlisted for the 2014 Secondary schools Calderdale Children’s Book of the Year. Martin delivered two fantastic sessions for young teens and engaged them throughout. His natural ease with the audience will inspire any budding writer.”
Alison, Discover Learning Manager, Calderdale.
“Martin delivered a brilliant and engaging session for the Kirklees and Calderdale Children Book Group at King Cross Library. Kids and adults alike hung on every word as he talked about his inspiration behind The Poison Boy. Thank you Martin!”
