Thank you for coming to our school we enjoyed it. We enjoyed the PowerPoint you showed us about how to write a really good story. We really want to read Hattie B, we think it sounds like an amazing story. You really inspired us to write our stories as you said you can write about anything. Your advice will help us write an amazing story. We are all trying our best on the stories we are writing. We can’t wait for you to read our stories. The little bit of Hattie B you read us was brilliant! We can’t wait to read more of Hattie B. Hopefully our stories will be successful like yours. We really enjoyed your talk and we hope you do well. Thank you for coming to our school. We 65can’t wait to see you again
Year3/4 Sapcote Primary School, Leicestershire.
I just wanted to write and say a huge thank you for coming in and conducting the Hattie B workshops. The children thoroughly enjoyed their adventures into Bellua and couldn't wait for the next session. I was pleasantly surprised at how inspired they were to create not only their own Hattie B story but then to go onto develop other stories with themselves as the central characters. It was a joy to hear even my reluctant boy writers asking if they could take them home to finish. Well done for compiling such a comprehensive, creative scheme of work that truly unlocks the imagination and gives children of all abilities the chance to show their full potential.
Year 4 teacher, Bringhurst Primary School
We like to involve the children as much as possible during our talk by asking questions, there is always time for their questions at the end of the talk.
With our sessions we like to get stuck in with the children, supporting them all the way, our sessions are fun, we like to come away from our sessions knowing that we have inspired them to read more and have a go at writing their own stories. Throughout this year we have had many stories written by the children we have visited, they have even painted their own front covers, created their own Blurbs and bound them to make them look like real books.
