Assembly style talk/presentation. I have a number of talks suitable for years 4 – 7 all based around mystery and adventure. A talk involves both a slide show, readings, and a fair bit of interaction with the students. I talk about my journey into writing and lots of the stories behind my stories. The talk is different according to the age group and the size of the audience.
Skype/Zoom session: Suitable for Years 5, 6 Slide show, chat and questions which I need to have in advance. It would be very similar to my assembly sessions, but less interactive. My sessions are tailored to the school and the age group of the children.

“The length of the queue in our library for book signings at the end of the day was testament to the connection Fleur had made with our children. When our Year 6’s left to go to secondary school in July and were asked to reflect on their time in year 6, many of them reported Fleur’s visit to have been a highlight.”
Jo Farrell Lead English Teacher – Hamstel Juniors
“Quite simply, for me, when I think of what I want a children’s author to be in real life, Fleur Hitchcock fits the model perfectly.”
Dr Jacqueline Johnson, Jacqson Diego Emporium
“Fleur really engaged with our students and motivated many of them to persevere with their creative writing and their reading.”
Louise Birkett, Ribston Hall, Gloucester
'Fleur visited us at Bideford College in September to run two creative writing workshops with Year 8 and Year 9. The students that participated included lower ability and SEN. We wanted them to have the opportunity to work creatively within their abilities, but to also challenge themselves; Fleur delivered two inspiring and motivating sessions that saw some wonderful pieces of work created.
The students left enthused and confident in their abilities - we would not hesitate to have Fleur back!'
Lynsey Southern Librarian, Bideford College.
