Type of Artist:
Talks, readings
I make my performances interesting and informative but also fun. Having worked as an actor and musician I do bring an element of performance to the talks, often encouraging a certain amount of audience participation.
I also talk about my theatre and experience in children’s television.
10 + Preferred age range; year groups 6, 7 and 8
Max 3, preferably 2 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.
Up to 60 minutes for talk and questions and answers.
Time for signing afterwards.
I’m happy to travel anywhere – if it’s a long way I’d rather not go for just a single event. I would expect overnight and travel expenses to be met.
At the moment when driving I charge 40p per mile. Alternatively I would charge standard rail fare.

Robert’s visit to the school made a real difference to the students’ attitude towards literature and story writing. They were excited to hear the tales of a real author and were inspired and eager to write down their own ideas. Robert had a way of intriguing and engaging the students, whilst encouraging their own creativity. A fun and successful day was had by all!
