Type of Artist:
I talk, read short passages, describe how I came to write the book, answer questions, suggest activities and run a workshop for them if there’s enough time.
If I work with different classes, we can meet at the end of the day for a celebration session to share our writing.
I’ll consider any age group, adults included.
2 sessions per morning, 1or 2 an afternoon is ideal.
However, shorter sessions mean I can visit more classes. Each school is different.
No more than 50 minutes. I will spend a shorter time with younger children – e.g. 20 minutes story time with nursery. I'm happy to sign copies of my books afterwards.
I live in Derbyshire, so Derbyshire Nottingham Leicestershire South Yorkshire.
I would rather stay local, and otherwise I need overnight expenses paid by school.
Second class train fares to be met by school, or car @ 45 pence per mile for more local journeys.

Just wanted to say what a great day yesterday was.
Thank you for engaging and inspiring our children so well. All the teachers that were in the sessions in the morning and the storytelling in the afternoon commented on how excited the children were.

I have recommended Caroline as a visiting author to schools for several years. Her enthusiasm for writing and her interest in her audience has always made her a welcome and inspiring visitor to classrooms and assemblies. Caroline has also been ready to participate in and contribute to exciting innovative initiatives to enthuse reading and writing eg a blogging scheme.
