Type of Artist:
For KS1 I do readings with art activities and small drama workshops acting out the stories.
For KS2 I do readings with collective story writing or story maps depending on time available. I am also planning to do some illustration workshops but have yet to devise them.
DetailsPreferred age range:
My books range from Reception (5yrs) to Years 4 and 5.
Maximum number in any one session:
30 children (ie. one class) would be preferred but with staff support I can do two classes (60 children).
Because of the ages I work with I avoid too much talking and prefer to engage the children in an activity.
No of sessions per day:
2 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon would be fine.
60 minutes for reading, chat and activity, followed by book signing.
Areas prepared to travel to:
The South West is my area – but anywhere in the South if travel and overnight accommodation is paid for
Train for longer distances or car @ 50pence per mile.
