What I can do for you

I offer writing or illustration workshops with Power Point images for all year groups of the Primary School and also Assembly talks. I aim to inspire children to create their own characters, settings and story openers by first showing images, reading from my books and having a discussion. I try, where possible, to fit my workshop to a school’s theme. Here are some topics I cover: mythical characters, fairy tales, portal stories and quests, seaside and water, dam building and floods, journeys.

We were treated to an hour of magical and mesmerising reading from the author’s book ‘Selkie.’ for the older children and ‘Dog on Wheels’ for the younger ones. The children were transfixed by hearing about the editing process, seeing her drawing live and hearing about where her ideas come from.
