Author and illustrator, Robert Starling is the creator of the wonderful Fergal is Fuming! and Fergal Meets Fern. His interactive online sessions can be tailored towards either KS1 or KS2 pupils and can involve a draw-a-long section, readings from his books, an insight into the life of an illustrator and a Q&A.

What I can do for you
Typically, I’d work on the basis of a 45 minute zoom session, tailored to the needs of the school or booking party. Here are some of things we could cover:
Live reading of one or more of my stories (interactive if possible).
Draw-along session, which could be related to a particular character, or book. I can show how to draw some of my characters and explain all the things I think about as I do. A good chance to get a whole group drawing!
Guided drawing – where I will be led by the viewers and together we will create new characters or settings. You’re welcome to have these drawings after the event.
A talk about what I do all day as an illustrator and writer. I can explain the process that a picture book goes through, showing all my initial sketches and work in progress artwork.
Q&A – I’d be very happy to answer any questions you may have about writing, drawing and reading, either live or with pre-delivered questions.
