Testimonials:

"I am absolutely thrilled to share my experience with Bex, who graced us with her presence at Thorndown Primary during our World Book Day celebrations! From the moment she stepped into the classroom, there was an undeniable buzz of excitement among the children. Bex's passion for storytelling was infectious, and her genuine enthusiasm lit up the entire room.

Her visit was a remarkable success, and I cannot thank her enough for the positive impact she has had on our students. Bex is truly a star, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to any school looking to inspire young readers and writers. We can't wait to welcome her back to Thorndown Primary in the future!"

Natalie Browne – English Subject Lead, Thorndown Primary

"Key Stage 2 met a real-life author called Bex Hogan. She talked about her new book for a little while and showed us how she uses Lego to help with illustrations and characters. Some children even managed to have their copy of her book signed. Year 3 and Year 4 children worked with Bex to create monster characters. It was a really fun and exciting afternoon and we were so lucky to meet her."

Molly (Year 3)

"Bex came to meet with our Year 3 and 4 children to inspire them in creative story writing. She certainly delivered! Our children enjoyed learning about the creative writing process, dressing up as characters from her novels and experiencing her Lego animations of scenes from the books. The children have since written their own creative stories, taking a lot of inspiration from Bex’s books. They have also become firm fans of Bronte Tempestra with several children buying the newest addition on the day of release! Inspiring children to be creative is an important part of teaching writing…I can highly recommend a visit from Bex to aid the process!"

Rose Sullivan – Polwhele House

"Bex couldn't have been more on point when she talked about the time she spends planning and editing. Please pass on our thanks to her; we thought she was great. One Y3 child was heard saying he wanted to be an author when he grew up. Fantastic!"
