Story reading, and / or interactive story writing workshops
I perform an interactive, fun story reading session with lots of class participation.
I also run sessions in which we write a brand new story as a class against the clock. It’s hugely entertaining. (here is an example https://thepoly.org/whats-on/event/2084/falmouth-book-festival-craig-barr-green-the-great-story-explosion )
Picturebook ages for readings: so ideally 4-8 (approx. – I can be flexible)
7-11 for the workshops.
I can do a full year group for story reading, and up to one class (30) for a writing workshop.
3 – spread in any way over the day.

“Craig has worked on several projects, as an author of books and a play wright. Each time he has been diligent, engaging and motivating. If you need a creative and inspirational writer to work with your organisation, Craig is the person for the job.”
Andrew Varker. Young Person’s Library Service Co-ordinator.
“Craig is an amazing presence on stage and a passionate advocate of childhood reading and literacy. He did a wonderful job of chairing an event with Jacqueline Wilson at Charleston Festival 2022. We’re always keen to have him back.”
Charleston Festival
“Craig helped spearhead our young writers short story competition both as a judge and presenter of the prize alongside Charlie Higson. He has a natural gift, primarily as a storyteller but also as a communicator of his innate passion for books and reading.”
Port Eliot Festival
“I have had the pleasure of working with Craig at the Falmouth Book Festival, where we have invited him back every year to be part of the Children’s programme. Craig always brings wit, energy and a sense of drama to every event and workshop. His wonderful and insightful bios have continually resonated with and captured the hearts of our audience. It is always a joy to watch Craig work - it is impossible not be swept along with his vivid storytelling and enthusiasm. There is always a sense of surprise and wonder and he makes every child believe there is a story within them waiting to be told.”

“Both children and adults at our school always look forward to a visit from Craig Barr-Green! His enthusiasm and passion for storytelling bring his wonderful books to life. We would thoroughly recommend a visit from Craig to any school setting.”
Lindsey Mackenzie. Headteacher. King Charles Primary School
“We have worked with Craig on various projects, he helped curate and compare our Festival of Imagination which opened up a world of creativity to young people as part of our May half term programme.
Craig was always so wonderful with the team and the visitors alike and as the creative producer I felt the experience was safe and magical in his hands.
We always wish him well with whatever he does and would have him back here in a heartbeat!”
Kate Franics. Creative Producer. The Eden Project
I want every child to feel they have been a part of my sessions in whatever way feels comfortable to them. Inclusion is hugely important to me.
