Type of Artist:
Talks, readings, Q&A, and workshops for groups of up to 30.
I prefer interview/Q&A formats to solo presentations, but can do the latter if the school prefers.
Ideal age 11-13, but anything from 11-15 is fine.
Up to 30 for a workshop. For a talk, less than 150 is preferable, but larger numbers are possible if the space and sound equipment are suitable.
Maximum 3, ideally no more than two
30-60 minutes for talk and reading, can adjust length depending on requirements.
Ideally areas reasonably accessible from west London (Isleworth) via public transport. Would generally prefer to avoid overnight stays, except in special circumstances

“Just a quick note to say thank you for the visit by Frances. The children really enjoyed their talk. A lovely debut for the library, as it was the first visit we have had in the actual library setting.”
Freddy Shannon, Librarian at Watlington Primary
"Frances was a huge hit at St Nicolas School. Not only were the children thoroughly entertained by her stories of writing, and reading from her own
book - they were really inspired to come up with their own stories and characters."
Mark Thornton, Owner of Mostly Books, Abingdon
