Very interactive. I like to get everyone involved in talking and asking questions. We talk about how to create characters and build stories. I like to use props from my books to make sessions larger than life.

"We arranged for Harry Heape to come to my local primary school as my daughter and I had laughed so hard when reading Shiny Pippin and the Broken Forest. The pupils absolutely loved it! He was brilliantly engaging and kept the whole assembly captivated from start to finish, with lots of interaction and laughs. The children were inventing their own Broken Forest adventures all of the following week!”

"Harry came to my bookshop for a Meet the Author session with a group of primary age children and adults. His presentation was brilliant! He has a relaxed manner that the children loved and his talk encouraged them all to join in with ideas for stories. I think the adults enjoyed themselves as much as their children – I even had this email from a grandad:
We just wanted to say how much we all enjoyed Harry Heape's book signing event. The children were particularly attentive, well behaved and participated thoroughly. My granddaughters Olive and Rose really enjoyed themselves. Well done for staging such an enjoyable event.
In the afternoon we went to a high school who were running a summer school for new y7s. Harry’s presentation worked well with this age group and he was just as comfortable speaking to a lecture theatre audience (albeit a small one). The Shiny Pippin books are excellent and a bit bonkers and so is Harry. I’d happily take him to any of my schools for events and hope to work with him more in the future."

"Harry Heape delivered a highly engaging and entertaining event for us. This reflects the high quality of his writing which speaks directly and hilariously to children (and grown ups alike) and I can’t wait for him to do more events for us in the future."
