“The workshops were amazing! The children absolutely loved the story planning and writing, and it has got them so excited. Thank you so much for being such an amazing part of our book fortnight for them.”
Lady Boswell’s C of E Primary School, Sevenoaks
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for coming to Windlesham yesterday. The children are buzzing still, and copies of the books can be seen all over the school today, especially Friends and Traitors. We really enjoyed the talks; I especially loved the code breaking and solving of clues.”
Windlesham House School, Sussex
“Thank you so much for your visit to our school. Both children and staff really enjoyed every minute of it and the children seemed truly inspired and motivated to become authors themselves. The book sales were excellent, and this is obviously testament to both you and your fabulous selection of children's books!”
St. Thomas Becket Catholic Primary School, Croydon
"Thank you so much for the three inspiring talks you gave to the school. I have had multiple reservations on your books this morning from both teachers and pupils!”

At Kestle Barton, Helen Peters led six marvellous workshops for all years 4-6 in our local schools. The children enjoyed themselves enormously and the staff reported back that there was some terrific work made following Helen’s sessions. She was able to engage directly with the children in a warm and friendly way and did not require powerpoint which we see as a huge bonus organisationally but also great for the children as it led to some very interesting conversations about the process of writing - ways in which to find inspiration and the value of editing. I highly recommend Helen.

If talking to younger children, I will talk about the Jasmine Green books, focusing particularly on the first in the series, A PIGLET CALLED TRUFFLE. For older children, I offer a variety of talks based on different books, including FRIENDS AND TRAITORS with an interactive WW2 mystery/codebreaking activity; ANNA AT WAR & Kindertransport stories; EVIE’S GHOST & writing timeslip and historical fiction; and THE SECRET HEN HOUSE THEATRE trilogy & how it was inspired by my farm childhood. I can also talk about the writing and editing process.
