AuthorI base my talks around my various books, depending on their ages.
The stories and real animals that inspired the Animal Stories series. Talk with pictures and readings, suitable for Year One to Year Three.
Museum Kittens - hear about the real-life museum cats and how they inspired this new series, with readings. Holly can also run a papercraft based on the series, or a writing workshop on the children's own museum. Winter Animal Stories - the inspiration behind the books. Talk with pictures and readings, suitable for Years Three and Four.
Earth Friends - this series is about four girls realising they can help protect their local environment, and the wider world. This talk covers the inspiration behind the books, but also child labour and the concept of fair fashion. Suitable for Years Four to Six.
The Runaways, suitable for Years Five and Six. This centres on the role of animals in wartime, particularly World War II. Please note that The Runaways was inspired by the mass destruction of pet animals in September 1939.
Holly would need to show a PowerPoint for all the talks.
