Dyslexia workshops for adults and children
Jane is a multi -award winning dyslexic author and was voted in 2019 as one of the top 50 Neurodiverse Influencers in the UK by the organization Women Beyond the Box.
Jane has experience of talking to adults about dyslexia and was invited to do so by the Scottish Dyslexia Association about her award-winning play Leonardo Stole My Crayon about Young Offenders and Dyslexia. This was written after she ran some drama workshops at HMS Polmont.
Jane also worked at the Moat school for dyslexia for 20 years.
She also has experience of talking at conferences and was invited to speak on the Neurodiverse Panel at Hachette and at the ASCEL Library conference.
Jane is from a drama/ improvisation background and uses this approach in her creative writing workshops. She has run creative writing workshops for adults around the country for the organisation All Stories and will gladly do an event for adults about the technique she uses to bring out students’ creativity,

In 2022, Jane presented five workshops (three in-person and two online) on behalf of the All Stories programme. Jane created and delivered inspiring, insightful and informative workshops which were focused on providing an introduction to writing for children to adults from underrepresented groups. Each time, Jane's passion and enthusiasm for writing were infectious, and Jane knew exactly how to structure and present the workshops in order to give participants the most helpful and encouraging experience.
