I am always happy to devise a specific workshop for a school but the workshops mentioned below give a flavour of what I can offer
Interactive Story time with or without the book for Early Years and Reception
Storytelling of book and follow up creative writing and/ or craft for Key stage 1 and 2
Workshop based on the Dragon Racer series including author talk and/ or creative writing Creative writing workshops
I always like to leave a range of follow up activities
I am also happy to take part in longer projects – e.g. one day a week for half a term
Baby and early years storytelling and songs and rhymes training for teachers, teaching assistants and nursery workers
Traditional storytelling or author and book based sessions for all nursery and primary age
Author talk and creative writing session for Key stage 3
4-5 sessions a day –depending on length and size of session. I try to be flexible as to the needs of the school
30-40 mins for Foundation Stage
45-50 minutes for KS1
1 hour for KS2/3
Book signings normally held at end of visit after all sessions completed
I am based in South London, but happy to go anywhere if all expenses, including overnight are met
I prefer to take public transport whenever possible
