Lively and fun slideshow followed by Q and A. The sessions may include a brief appearance by Megan’s two friendly (insured) golden retrievers who will (or wont) demonstrate the work of assistance dogs (for copious treats).
Sessions are usually on a particular title or themes – the Lizzie and Lucky books (featuring a deaf detective heroine), War books and books about assistance dogs and animal sanctuaries.
Megan is a fluent sign language user and is happy to conduct sessions in BSL if preferred. Lizzie and Lucky: The Mystery of the Missing Puppies has been translated into BSL and can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb_3BpTx0TQ (Lizzie and Lucky: The Mystery of the Missing Puppies).
The Lizzie & Lucky series is aimed at KS1 pupils. Other Megan Rix books are aimed at KS2 pupils
Maximum of 3 per day.
45 minutes with approx 15 minutes of Q&A at the end, plus book signing.
Anywhere if travel expenses are met and overnight accommodation provided if required. I live in Bedfordshire.
