Type of Artist:
Fun, interactive in person and virtual storytelling events, assemblies and workshops for KS1 and KS2.
I’m an award-winning author who is really passionate about literacy and loves doing events for children of all ages.
My workshops can be tailored to suit every setting and audience size from assemblies and festivals to libraries and classrooms.
All my events are interactive and include a reading of one of my books, fun games, a Q&A, a hands on activity, book signing and follow up worksheets.
The activities I offer range from making up a brand new story with children using my story cubes to creating origami fish, designing superheroes, going on a rainbow hunt and making shape characters.
Workshops can be based on any of my books which cover a wide range of themes including plastic in the ocean, the environment, making up stories, dyslexia (inspired by my own diagnosis), poetry, shapes, perseverance, diversity, separation anxiety, colours and rainbows.
I can also run creative writing sessions for children.
My events all encourage children to have a fun, playful approach to creativity, reading and writing.

“Naomi absolutely made our World Book Day celebrations! She was able to engage a large group of 4 and 5 year old children into creating their own picture book storyboard! A fantastic communicator, Naomi has also spoken at larger events for us, including whole primary school assemblies as well as inspiring class workshops. Plymouth Schools Library Service heartily recommends the quality and content of Naomi’s books and events.”“Naomi absolutely made our World Book Day celebrations! It was lovely! The children really enjoyed it and had some thoughtful questions to ask too. It would be great to do more things like this in the future to promote reading!
