2 MY HORRIBLE LIFE
Nick talks about his life and how became interested in writing stories and Science. And there are some activities too.
When he's not writing Horrible Science Nick is a professional historian with several academic papers and major discoveries to his credit. He can offer History talks on any topic - for example ROMANS, VIKINGS, NORMANS, TUDORS, STUARTS, GEORGIANS, VICTORIANS or KNIGHTS AND CASTLES for any age group from 6-18.
Each event is offered in a form suitable for schools or public events.
Each school event is offered in Primary and Secondary School versions.
The script for each event is altered to suit the numbers attending, the venue, the age of the audience, and updated with new books etc.
Public events
6 to 14 and parents/carers
School events
6 to 12 although other age groups can be included with prior discussion.
Nick can do any number of sessions.
He will prefer sessions after 10 am and his fee will cover the first two sessions.
Thereafter the fee is £100 plus VAT per session.
Public events are normally 60 minutes
School events are normally 45 minutes
Please advise Nick if your time frame is different and he can adjust the script accordingly.
Anywhere in the world. Please note that if Nick cannot get back to Taunton, Somerset by public transport on the day of the event or cannot be sure of getting to the first session by public transport on time he will need an overnight stay.
He is happy to arrange this but extra VAT will be charged (HMRC rules)
Car transport for south-west England will cost of petrol from and two either Somerset or Devon depending where Nick is based.
All other places rail tickets (as cheap as possible). Sometimes taxi fares are claimed.
Not at present although this is likely to change.
