“Thanks so much for your contribution to BHHS’s Book Week. Your assembly was a breath of fresh air, you got us all thinking creatively before 9 o’clock in the morning and what a lovely poem we had all helped to produce within 10 minutes. You sent the whole school off to their first lesson completely energised, well done! Our 7s & 8s really enjoyed sharing their imaginary friends with you too.”
Lucy Dean, BHHS
“Nikki visited our school to talk to years 6, 7 and 8. Our children had read part of ‘Who Framed Klaris Cliff’ before the talk and were clearly much taken with both the story and Nikki’s presentation. I was impressed with Nikki’s easy manner with the children and with her fantastic writing tips. The children really enjoyed talking about imaginary friends and writing and we all had a lot of fun.”
Sherie New (Librarian – Brighton College Prep School)
“Nikki Sheehan visited us at Hampton School in May 2015, and over six sessions she delivered workshops to the whole of our year 7. Our boys really enjoyed the sessions, they were engaged throughout, and Nikki was great at involving them and drawing out ideas. I would definitely recommend Nikki to a school looking for a visiting author.”
Mr Karl Hemsley Head Librarian Hampton School
“It was interesting to meet Nikki as she gave us an insight into her thoughts and taught us to see the world differently.” Year 8 pupil
“I thought the author visit was so fun. She was a really lovely person and she taught me a lot. I have definitely become more involved with writ-ing and the creative writing we did with her was really inspiring.” Year 8 pupil
My book Swan Boy was made into a musical (with ballet!) by a school in Hampshire
