I am Bear
Hi and Hop: You Can Do Anything
Sav gave the best workshop I've seen as Head of English for the last three years! Even more impressively, it was done remotely on Microsoft Teams during lockdown. He was fun and engaging all the way through. Sav started with an illustration tutorial for his amazing bear character, which the children loved getting involved with. He also got all the children and teachers up and dancing in their homes, learning the moves to Bear Moves! The energy was amazing considering it was all done remotely. I could not recommend Sav's workshops more - we absolutely loved it and would have him back again in a heartbeat!

Sav is completely amazing! The pure joy he gets from interacting with the kids shines and acts like a powerful magnet to draw both kids and parents to him (I should probably include book sellers in that too). People just kept coming in to talk to him, after the event was already over. He just has that kind of lovely energy. Cellar Door Bookshop
Sav ran two brilliant sessions for us with around 200 pupils in each. He engaged and entertained them and really got them thinking about characters and stories. The session was interactive and very fun with the songs and artwork, the pupils went away enthused and excited about reading and creating! We would welcome Sav back to any of our events without hesitation!

Sav is an incredible artist/illustrator and captivated our group of keen eyed children engaging them with the book, the bear and answers to their barrage of questions and comments.

A wonderful informative presentation from Sav Akyuz about the book 'I am Bear'. A lively performance of reading, rhyme and illustration.
Mrs Gillian Schia, St.Paul’s School, Winchmore Hill, London
Sav Akyuz is a wonderfully engaging illustrator and has become a firm and fast favourite with festivals and schools since the publication of I Am Bear. The event has everything a school could want, including a lively back and forth with the children, an insight into how stories and picture books are crafted, as well as storytelling, singing, and learning how to draw Bear. Sav is a flexible and adaptable illustrator, who has done events right from intimate workshops to large school events, from Edinburgh Festival to BBC’s
Awesome Authors, where he entertained 300 children at a public event.
Awesome Authors organiser, Colin Dallibar, was thrilled with Sav’s event and said it was a “genuine pleasure” to host him that day. Thoroughly recommended for all school events!
Katarina Jovanovic, Publicist, Walker Books
Sav is one of the fantastic illustrators on our list. He's brilliant at getting alongside children and pupils, engaging with them, and conveying his enthusiasm and creativity. He's a very warm and natural individual, and always great at events

We were delighted to host a visit from Sav Akyuz last year. The girls were totally enthralled by the presentation, video and reading of I Am Bear.
Impromptu illustrations by Sav helped to make the visit even more memorable. We would love to welcome Sav back to Channing Junior School.
Can't wait for his next publication!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the books you signed. The children and parents were thrilled with them. They must have taken some time! We have had such positive feedback following your workshops and we're hoping to see more of your work in the near future. Thank you so so much.
Anna Coltman, Highgate School, London
Everyone was very happy loved your presentation. So thanks so much.

I have music and video which I play and have the children interact with which is quite lively.
