Type of Artist:
Talks and workshops both involving activities
Scott’s talks are loud, interactive and bursting with creativity. Children are encouraged to get involved and hopefully it will inspire them to:
1) to read more books
2) become interested in writing
3) build public speaking confidence
4) Dream up some fantastic ideas
5) avoid doing school work for an hour or so
Scott is not a statuesque author who is going to bore children to sleep by reading chunks from their book. He wants the whole audience to be engaged in the session from start to finish.
Key stage 2 (7-11)
The bigger the audience the better. However, 30 for a workshop is probably a good idea.
3-4 talks a day depending on locations of schools. Or two workshop sessions (morning/afternoon). Happy to be flexible.
45-60 minute for talk, plus time for signing afterwards Morning or afternoon for workshop
Anything within 60 miles of Leeds, West Yorkshire, but can stretch to up to 100 if more than two sessions in that area on one day.
Also available in London and home counties regions if more than four events are put together over 1-3 days.
Anywhere else if overnight expenses are met
Car (40p a mile) or train
