What I can do for you
As a former stand-up comedian I can offer a dynamic, fast flowing hour or half hour. As a current creative writing professor at Kingston University I will make sure that children take away valuable lessons about story creation that will help them both in their creative writing, and English comprehension. I have run both of the following workshop models successfully online.
- Story workshop. With help from a teacher/moderator, I will create a unique story that has never existed before. I will show how the story works and teach the pupils professional story writing vocabulary. This is always a hilarious session.
- Alternatively, students may send me questions in advance which I will answer, alongside readings. I will also read out and offer critiques of pupil writing (which I ask to be emailed in advanced). A fun, and relaxed hour that goes very quickly. I can do a half hour version of this class.
“Inspirational” was the buzz word yesterday when I saw Yr 5 and Year 6 classes. A sincere thank you for all of your hard work and energy today. You were brilliant at engaging the pupils and have certainly given them a lot to think about, and hopefully write.
