Ros Roberts is the author of Digger and Me, and Every Cloud, both of which are perfect for 8-12 year olds. She is passionate about encouraging students to become writers themselves.

What I can do for you
Ros tries to make her online sessions as interactive as possible. She would talk at first about her writing journey and books and her own experience. This involves props, photos and puppets! There would be discussion about the students favourite reading and then Ros would encourage the class to participate in some creative writing exercises. This could be fiction or poetry with an emphasis on getting something on the page – for those that struggle this could be in the form of drawings or comic book style – for those that love to write, freewriting will be encouraged as that is Ros’s passion! There would be a brief Q and A at the end and if time/appropriate a second reading from one of Ros’s books.
