Taming the Anxiety Guard Dog – from anxiety to resilience
An online talk with Nicola Morgan: 5th February, 7.00-8.30 pm
Nicola Morgan, The Teenage Brain Woman, has written many best-selling books on adolescent brains and lives, developing our understanding of how young minds work. In this webinar, she will outline why young people may be more vulnerable to anxiety and then focus on how we, the adults in the room, can best help them flourish and become resilient. How can we turn anxiety into confidence, dependence into independence? Are there things we sometimes do wrong? What can we do differently? Lots of ideas to consider and many valuable extra resources to take away. Aimed at parents/carers, teachers and other professionals – any adult who lives or works with young people. Nicola is a powerfully informed speaker who is passionate about sharing deep understanding and useful advice with her audiences. Not to be missed!
There will be a charge of £20 to attend and an invoice will be sent out on registration. Attendees will be able to access copies of the slides and the resources/handouts that Nicola has produced. All those who register will be entered into a book giveaway with three of Nicola’s signed books up for grabs in a random draw. For queries contact: events@authorsalouduk.co.uk

I have no hesitation in recommending Authors Aloud both to schools who are looking for an inspirational visitor and to authors, poets, storytellers and illustrators who can offer that inspiration. Their extensive experience, professionalism and attention to detail makes the process work successfully for both parties.
Garry Parsons, Illustrator
I just wanted to thank you for organising my three events during World Book Week recently. Your organisation was brilliant as always and the schools were both delightful and the Windsor Library service folk were brilliant too.
